Optimus V Crashing

During games specifically, i've crashed about 6 times so far.. at completely random times
Last night i blue screened and got this

C:\Windows\Minidump\062413-29109-01.dmp
C:\Users\Rob\AppData\Local\Temp\WER-71464-0.sysdata.xml

And today my game keeps crashing with 'Game stopped responding'

Not sure why this is happening.. anyone?

The two pathnames you have given don't help much I'm afraid because nobody can access the data in them except you. :)

It would be very useful if you could post the Stop Error Code you get with the BSOD, often that can help point to the problem area. There are some common problems that cause BSODs and since your laptop is new you might want to try the following:

1. Open up the case and check that all the RAM cards are properly seated. Bad RAM is often a cause of BSOD. (You may even have a bad RAM card, the only way to be sure is to run a memory tester like Memtest86+).

2. Check that you have all the latest drivers installed (if you're running Windows 7 check out https://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?25982-Optimus-V-Win7-drivers).

3. Run Windows update repeatedly until there are no more updates available, include recommended updates as well as important updates.

4. Disconnect all external devices and see whether you still get the BSOD.

I'm sure others will be along with some other suggestions.... :)

Turns out it was some sort of GPU fault they fitted a new motherboard and are sending me back the laptop :)
