I know the Optimus v laptop comes with the gtx 860m but is it possible to upgrade the gpu in the future if I wanted to?

Thanks guys!

No it's soldered on to the motherboard.

In general when you buy a laptop you should forget about future GPU upgrades because even those with removable GPUs will run in to BIOS problems if you decide in future to make any meaningful changes to the GPU.

One exception was my old Dell Inspiron 9400. Upgraded my GPU from a Radeon X1400 to a Nvidia GS 7900 (overclocked to 7900GTX clocks plus higher through firmware). This laptop was a major exception to the rule.

so all the laptops that are available today including all of PCS's laptops are not upgradable when it comes to the GPU?

Vortex and skyfire can be upgraded but current GPUs, regarding next generation GPUs maybe not since it requires a new bios update that may or may not be released by Clevo
