Ordered on 01/01, received this morning. I believe exactly 12 working days from ordering - I paid for Saturday delivery. So bang on schedule.
Can't complain about anything. I paid dead on £1K, and I don't think you can get a better value laptop anywhere. In fact, you will pay around £200 more for this spec from other suppliers. So, well, done PC Specialist, I've no idea how you manage it!
Laptop was well packed, as expected, and arrived dead on time. DPD have never let me down, and their online tracking is second to none. Windows was installed, which surprised me, though obviously sans key, as I didn't order an OS. But saved me 20 minutes installing it. Just needed to enter my reg key and I was ready to go.
I ordered an optical drive caddy separately. Not sure why this isn't an option on the site unless you forego a DVD drive. Also bought a 2nd 750GB Scorpio Black so I can swap the HD / optical drive as required.
Installed some basics like iTunes / VLC etc, and everything installed as fast as expected. Not tried any games yet, but intend to have a shot at Fifa and Metro: Last Light in the next couple days.
Laptop isn't as heavy as I expected. I believe it's around 3KG, but it's not exactly uncomfortable lugging it around. The sound is nowhere near as bad as some have reported - it's comparable to multiple other laptops I've used, bar a 2013 MacBook Pro. Fan noise is also a non-issue.
I'm hoping this laptop lasts me 2-3 years, and I'll have no hesitation coming back to PCS when it's time to upgrade.
