Optimus VIII 17" : Windows Home build 1703 : Ethernet keeps cutting out

Wifi is fine.

But when I tell it to use ethernet, and no wifi, it keeps dropping the connection.

Previous win7 laptop on same cable was 100% solid.

Have others seen this?

Sounds like a known issue with "creators edition", but maybe something else?

Updated to latest realtek GBE driver via device manager.

Then downloaded even more recent driver from realtek

Still no difference, turned off power management on the realtek, just in case, also to no avail

Did you order Windows 10 with the laptop, or did you install it yourself?

If you bought it with Windows 10 I would give PCS a call and talk this over with them.

If you didn't buy Windows 10 and you installed your own copy then it's a bit more complex because it could as you say be a Windows issue. If it were mine I'd get hold of a Linux distro and see whether the LAN is stable with that. If it is then it's almost certainly a Windows issue.
