Order Query

I ordered my optimus 17 laptop on 30th may paying by finance. I printed off the documents signed and sent them thr same day, since then ive had an email saying they need more info and to call them, but then another saying theyve recieved the documents and will inform pcs as soon as theyve processed them, that was 2 days ago. Im just wondering if its normal for it to take as long as it is to process everything. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks in advance, steve.

I did say that to the other half as shes the one dealing with it but she said because they sent the confimation of the receiving the docs after the other email it wouldnt matter. Would you still think it would be best to give them a call?

Yeah, I got the emails that way round too. They send the mail confirming they have recieved the docs just to let you know that your details haven't been lost in the post. They will still need some form of extra information, I believe it has been said to check for fraud or something like that. They just asked me to send my last 3 months bank statements since I hadn't been employed for a while.

EDIT: Just to clarify, I would definately call them whenever they are next open.

Hitachi Capital have two departments. One processes all the admin requirements, one checks the application requirements. It can be quite confusing for customers, who assume as you have, that all is ok, because they are getting different requests.

Basically, if you have been asked for Proof of Earnings/Employment this WILL be required, and should be sent immediately. The application will not proceed until is has been received.

As per the previous posts, you should contact Hitachi with the information required.

Thanks for all the replies, the following is an exact copy of the email i recieved from hitachi:

'With regards to your recent internet finance application, further checks have been carried out and in order to proceed with your application we require additional information. Please contact 0844 375 5504 at your earliest convenience'

I presume that will mean they want payslips/bank statements then

What Hitachi want varies from customer to customer according to the employment information already provided in your application.

They should tell you exactly what they require from you.

Ah ok cool, well ill call them come Monday after work and sort it out asap as as soon as they have the info I presume it won't be long until my lappy will start being processed and built :)
