Overclocking Palit 560 ti?

I have a Palit 560 ti 1GB card in my machine - I read a recent article in Custom PC / PC Format (can't remember which) regarding how to overclock the 560 ti.

More for fun than for anything else, I wondered whether its possible to O/C this card (I believe its the most basic version of the card rather than the "Sonic" etc editions that Palit sells). Has anyone tried this with this card? Thanks

I don't know about whether it can be overclocked or not, however do note, if you do overclock it, it will void your warranty on the card.

Personally I wouldn't bother OC'ing the card, due to the negatives that may occur.

Why would you want to do this anyway? Does it not give you as much performance as you want/need?

Have you considered adding another 560ti for sli? That's going to give you a larger performance boost than OC'ing the card.

To be honest it was more for fun than anything else (I realilse that o/c a gpu doesn't make much of a difference in practice) - but that's a good point about the warranty thanks.

If I did add a second card would I need to upgrade the power supply too?

Well if it's just for fun and you have never done it before you might end up in a world of hurt.

If you still want to do it then read up on everything you can get, make sure you know what your doing and take it slowly. As others have said, one mistake and the card is dead.

I doubt you would need to upgrade it. Best way to check is build you system in the configurator again but this time pop in a 2nd card. If i lets you then your alright, to see exactly how much power it will use you can select the 350w PSU and it will tell you upgrade to xxx as you use xxx.
