OCing is one of those things (I should stop talking about OCing today...its not gone well) that you know if you need...and if you dont know you need it, you most probably dont need it :D

For gaming it isnt need, but that doesnt mean you cant do it (on the fence much?)

SSDs are still quite expensive for what you get in my opinion. If you really need that fast boot time etc right now, it's probably worth, but if not, I myself would hold off til they drop in price a bit, around the same time s 3D TVs :D

Hope that helped!

Hey, yea you have helped with the SSD's, don't think ill bother buying one for now, can always be added later, but im just stuck about whether or not buying the overclocked machines from PCS :S When it is overclocked, will it be at them speeds all of the time or only when it needs to, still haven't got my head around overclocking completely, probably why i am struggling to make a choice at the minute :p

Only when it needs to be. And no me either, hence why I am not talking about it ever again today...after this... :D

For gaming it isnt a necessary thing by any strectch and a decent non-OC rig will cope with anything you throw at it for now. No promises for the future, but then an OCed rig might have just as many shortfalls depending on the other components involved.

Vague to the end! :D

You don't really need to overclock it. with that spec alone, it will give you real solid performances without te overclock :) Overclocking does in very little way, boost games but very marginal and wont bring you any new experiences in exchange for the CPUs lifespan. So you can save yourself without the overclock. You still can overclock but not to great lengths as the "K" variant.
This spec should last you some real good years :)

So you can consider going with DED's advice without the overclock pretty much :)
