I just received the drivers for my new laptop but i still cant get the backlit keyboard buttons to work, is there a way to uninstall the driver and reinstall it?
I went to install the one on the disc but it says a newer version is already running, so i wish to remove that one and put the one on the disk.

The other hotkeys work like brightness and volume.

I assume you're talking about the Hotkey driver? On my Optimus the Hotkey driver installs just like any other program so I'd assume it does on your laptop too? You can simply uninstall it via the Programs and Features option in Control Panel. I'd suggest you then reboot before installing the older version.

Did the backlit keyboard work with the older version?

ive got another question if thats alright?
I have the i7-4700 processor, and says it has 2.4 ghz speed and up to 3.4 ghz turbo. I just ran prime95 and monitored my cpu speed using multiple programs and they highest it would go was 3.0 GHZ, is that common as 0.4 GHZ seems like quite a big difference.

Edit: Opened World of Warcraft and it shot up to 3.2 ghz, which seems alot better, just strange how prime95 wouldn't make it go that far.

I'm not able to answer that particular question for you, I don't know enough about CPU speeds etc. Sorry.

There are several knowledgeable people who will be able to answer this one for you though. :)

Basically with Turbo Boost the speed will rise depending on demand, certain things like the number of active cores and processor temperature can set the upper limit.
