So a few days ago my pc suddely started doing 1 long beep followed by 3 short beeps which followed the death of my Acer monitor.
I'm wondering if this is something common with Asus boards.
Specs
Processor AMD Ryzen 5 3600 6-Core Processor, 3600 Mhz, 6 Core(s), 12 Logical Processor(s)

BIOS Version/Date American Megatrends Inc. 3002, 11/03/2021

BaseBoard Product PRIME B450-PLUS

AMD Ryzen 5 3600 6-Core Processor 3.60 GHz

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060

as like many others the beeping only happens when the monitor isn't live on start-up, I have Reseated the ram, may reseat the gpu in case.
but I would like to know if this is also a common accorencer with Asus boards.

So that's not an issue, it's a false reading from the motherboard because it's not getting a return code from the monitor when booting so falsely thinking there's a gpu issue.

The workaround is power on the monitor before booting.

Or switch cable to another connection

Ok thank you for that. just got a tad bit worried about it. I invested quite a bit of money for this build.

Not helping with the actual item at hand, but something I always post when I see that someone has purchased this through an approved retailer of PCS items, but if you contact PCS and register your machine with them, you will be set up with an account which you can log into and get the full spec of your machine as well as details on upgrades etc.

Also, you may be able to ask about purchasing extended warranty or things if you havent done so already.

Registering the PC with PCS will make it a lot easier should you end up having any issues in its initial warranty period as usually the retailer would only be arranging for you to return it to PCS for fixing anyway :D
