PC for FFXIV?

Hey guys.

I've recently started playing FFXIV, BF3 and Skyrim and decided I want to buy a gaming rig.
My question is what would be better to buy Intel or AMD processors, will i see much difference? I was looking at AMD 6core 1100T and the i7 2700k.
And my GPU nvidia GTX 590 or radeon 2gb HD6970 x2.
I'm looking to play on max settings and possibly record without losing much FPS.

Any help would make me so thankful, I've been looking around for ages now.
Much love,

What would be the max you would spend on it? The more you put in the more you get out.

Very good spec there, I would upgrade the mobo one notch and probably the case to the coolermaster 690. You could drop the cpu to the 2600 with no problems as well.

How do you know what to look for with a motherboard? Thanks for the help too guys, ^^;

Well, firstly the features it offers. What ports it offers and the main reason for why I am telling you to do this is whether it can run 2 gpus in either crossfire or sli. That way you can add another gpu later when one on its own starts to struggle.

I would drop that RAM to the kingston, possibly the samsung if you aren't o/cing. Are you going to o/c? If you are, you will need to upgrade the cooler, I am afraid I don't have a clue how to setup a watercooled system so can't help you there! My other recommendation would be to get a 2TB caviar black, they are now back in stock and are only £19 more than the 1TB version.

Well. I won't be O/c'ing straigh away but I will be at some point. Since apprently 7970 is amazing oc'd. Not sure about getting another TB! I've only filled 250GB on this computer and had it 7 years! :O Whats the difference between the ram?
sorry about all the questions.. im terrible. x.x

Don't worry about the questions, that is what we are here for! For the RAM, it will be running slower than that claimed speed at stock. You can o/c it but it will make it very unstable. I would just stick with the kingston stuff. You can still o/c it tbh, you won't really notice the difference anyway. If you are going to o/c the cpu, you really need to upgrade that cooler to at least a titan. I don't know very much about watercooling gpus though! Or o/cing them...am not a gamer so not really necessary for me!
