Pc Gaming with some video editing

Please see attached a spec I have put together for the above intended pc. My kids currently play Fortnite but I suspect will progress onto other more intensive games. My eldest also has a drone which records in 2.7k video and he is enthusiastic about. Although he is only currently using basic software to edit right now I think this could develop. I want the pc to therefore be somewhat future proofed to about 6 - 7 years from now if possible. My budget had been £1,000 but as I also need a monitor I think that is clearly limiting, so I have accepted that I will probably need to spend at least the price quoted below unless you tell me different. For budget reasons I have gone with the cheapest case.

Any suggestions welcome as this is only my second pc built, particularly with regards to motherboard and Cooling. I've put n just 1 8GB 2400 RAM hoping this will do til I need to upgrade it perhaps later. I would also appreciate views on the peripherals such as monitor, keyboard and mouse.

I also checked substituting the processor and motherboard for an i5 8400 on Intel Z370-p11 which comes in at slightly more at £1176 but that alternative seems similar in performance?

Same comments as I made in your old topic about the PSU and case.

You are spending a lot on peripherals relative to your budget, and you're compromising hardware as a result.

e.g. the case, the PSU, and the slow, single channel RAM (which is not ideal at all for Ryzen CPUs - or in general).

The RX 580 is overall better than the GTX 1060 3gb, and due to pricing quirks is currently cheaper.

The AOC G2460VQ6 has a better freesync range than that Iiyama.

For the price difference, currently £17, I'd be tempted by the 2600x which is a bit faster and comes with a slightly better cooler.

There's not much point to the X470-Plus. It doesn't have much in the way of features over the B450.

You can upgrade the peripherals to something properly upmarket down the line, and what you save helps improve the hardware from a performance, cooling, and futureproofing point of view.

Note this is £1160 with a 550W PSU but the configurator is insisting that a 650W PSU is needed.

Possibly because PCS know something I don't, possibly because the configurator is enjoying some chemically enhanced relaxation time.

The earlier one I dropped as Christmas and my son's last minute request for a drone blew my budget at that time. Glad now as my new budget will allow a far more suitable PC for the additional needs. Power supply seems to be because of a 20% allowance. I seem to also be getting a slightly higher quote but only about £15 more.

Yeah, I'm not wholly convinced about 560W even including a 20% allowance. 460W before you even get to the 20% allowance... 250 for the RX 580 in furmark load, so where's the other 200W coming from. I'm pretty sure I've specced a lot of these systems (R5, RX 580) recently and never had to used a 650W PSU. Maybe worth checking with PCS.
