PC wont boot up properly

Hi, my pc is like 3 years old or so and today when i went to start it up it turned on for a few seconds as normal , then the power cut out. It stayed off for a few seconds than started up again on its own. It wont send any signal to the monitor whatsoever and the keyboard led lights dont turn on either. I checked all the connections , cleaned the power supply and gfx card etc , left it unplugged from the power for a while then tried again but it just keeps doing the same thing over and over. Does anyone have any idea what might be causing this? Any help would be greatly appreciated

Hey. What motherboard do you have? Could you post your spec?

Otherwise, I would suggest to try a minimum configuration. Meaning to disconnect all non-essential parts for the system to go through POST. This will isolate the issue to either motherboard/power supply if the issue still persists after this. There's also the off-chance of it being a bad CPU, but that doesn't happen very often.

Do the following:
->Disconnect all hard-drives
->Disconnect all but 1 DIMM Module
->Disconnect your graphics card, if you have the option of onboard VGA (Simply move your VGA Cable to the onboard slot instead, when testing this)
->Disconnect all other PCI Cards
->Reset CMOS with the clear CMOS Jumper or simply remove the CMOS Battery for 30 seconds

Otherwise the fact that the system is able to turn itself on again after a power-failure, suggest that the basic functions on the motherboard is still working. Some motherboard can be configured to power itself on again, after a sudden power loss. You might also want to verify power cord/power source that it's working.
