PC won't power on

My PC won't power on, I have to switch it on at the wall and wait for my keyboard lights to turn on then I have to turn it off at the wall and wait until the lights go off on the keyboard, turn it back on at the wall and then it will start but if it doesn't start I need to repeat until it works. When it eventually works it boots to the bios everytime. Does anyone know why this is happening?

The BSOD Doctor
I'm sorry nobody responded but many thanks for posting the solution. That's the first time I've heard of a dead CMOS battery causing that issue but you live and learn. :)
