PCS PRISM-X ARGB MID TOWER CASE add hard disk: how?

Hi,

I just received the new PC we ordered. We are trying to transfer 2 hard disks from the older PC but I can't figure out where additional hard disks are supposed to go in the build in a PCS PRISM-X ARGB MID TOWER CASE . There is no hard disk enclosure "tower" at the front and only space for one hard disk on the enclosure at the back.

The hard disks to install are 2 large WD 1TB drives.

The PC doesn't seem to have come with instructions for the case and further hardware upgrades.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance for your help!

That case only has space for 2 x 3.5" drives. Modern cases don't support multiple drives as most of the time they're M2 SSDs these days anyway. For multiple drive space you really need a specialist case.

Can you upload a photo of where you're seeing the option to install one to?

Hiya, Thanks for the reply. This is the back of the case as it currently looks.

As you can see, there is one pre-installed 2TB drive at the back. We have the additional 2 HD's we want to add, though I guess one will do in a pinch. And possibly another SSD (does the latter fit on the right where there are the 2 vertical metal plates? I removed one to have a closer look).

Where would one more full size hard disk go? Do I need a different enclosure?

The 2.5 should be moved to the case panel marked in red and then mount the 3.5" drives in the caddy

The case just isn't designed for multiple drives, it's not something you can modularly make it do, you'd have to swap cases to support more drives. As said, modern cases just have little support for external SATA drives.

Things I didn't realise when I picked a cool RGB case. :) My previous case was the more standard default PC specialist one (my whole family pretty much rocks PCs from here) and that one still had good support for multiple drives.

Good to know. And that's fine. we can compensate for that. I'll try the moving trick. I'll keep that in mind before the next order.

Thanks a lot for your help.
