Possible new PC - How does this look for a start?

I have had two gaming laptops from PC Specialist in the past, both of which have been great however the current one is ageing now and I'm thinking about a desktop instead.

Case doesn't need to be fancy as it'll be stored inside a desk and i'm looking for something that would last a good few years.

I used to build my own but last time i did that was during the Pentium 3 cpu era so all these new components are quite baffling.

Here's what i think:

Case
InWIN GT1 BLACK GAMING CASE

What is your budget? The m2 you have chosen is very basic and no quicker than a normal SSD, the Samsung SM or PM drives are lightning fast and a much better option, plus if you have an SSD a hybrid drive is wasted, they only have a small SSD cache and the rest is HDD, a standard SATA 7200rpm drive is better. You could also look at faster RAM

Agreed with the above.

What kind of arrangement are we talking here? These components produce quite a lot of heat (as is normal for gaming) and putting the PC into a cramped space will mean it's trying to cool itself with its own hot air. This will impact performance (especially GPU boost clocks) as well as producing more noise and potentially impacting lifespan.

Graphics Card
11GB NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX 1080 Ti - HDMI, 3x DP GeForce - GTX VR Ready!
What monitor are you pairing this system with? The 1080 ti is very expensive and best suited to 1440p high refresh / ultrawide or 4k gaming. If you're gaming at 1080p, a GPU like the 1070 would be generously sufficient.

The Hero motherboard is expensive and may be more aimed at enthusiast overclocking. The Z270E is already very expensive, and stuffed with features, but is ~£50 less expensive.

Thanks for the reply, yes i was thinking of a good monitor to go with it and yeah very good point about heat!!!

What's your budget for the monitor? Or what's your budget for the total system including the monitor?
