Postcode Info for non UK residents

Hi all,
I'm from Italy, and I would like to suggest to implement in the registration process more details about the needed information.
I will explain what I mean telling you my current situation.

I ordered a Defiance II on Monday 22/02 (paid with bank transfer) and amended to five days fast track on 23/02 (paid with credit card) after the bank transfer was accepted. The shipping address changed to the invoice address, but this is not a problem.
On Friday 26/02 the status was "awaiting dispatch". GREAT!
After few emails with the staff (note: I am very very happy with their assistance, they have always replied to me within a day) the status changed to "Dispatched" on Wednesday 02/03 (after 7 working day, but I did not mind about that).
The next day: no tracking number.. I begin to be worried, and after contacting the staff again they reassured me that it will be dispatched on 03/03.
But as of Friday 04/03 I still have no tracking number.
Finally on 10/03 (again after some emails) I am informed that my order has not been dispatched yet because the dispatch system says that the postcode is incorrect, and they will be dealing with this.
Damn. I really needed the laptop as fast as possible.
Today is Friday again, 15 working days after the order and 6 after the dispatch, but I have no news yet.
It seems that I will have to wait. But how much? Who knows. My only complaint is the lack of certain dates and the slowness of the process.

Apparently the whole problem arises from the postcode, so my question is: what postcode is needed? I have inserted my Italian postcode in the postcode field as it is (five numbers) without problems during the registration.

What have I missed? What I have got wrong during the registration?

Did someone had the same problem?

Please note that I am overall satisfied by the service provided an by the kind assistance of the staff.
I am simply puzzled by the situation.

Today morning I had a call with them (really friendly and patient, again I am really happy with the support) and they updated my address with a different address and post code, but the order has not been dispatched again.
In fact if I check my postcode in the delivery details page, the system says "No Results Found. Please check the Post Code and try again, or enter the address manually.". So I have not to enter the post code in the post code field but only below?
I could not make too many international phone calls, as today I have already spent about 10 euros for a single call.

Can anyone help me please?

I don't know which country you're in but see whether you can buy an international phone card. In Greece I can get one for 5 Euros and it gives me 3 hours to a UK landline. I can use it from my mobile phone at no extra cost too.

Thank you ubuysa, I'm from Italy. I will look into that for sure if the situation remains the same.
Do you have any idea of what's wrong with my post code (simply five number)?

I don;t work for PCS so I have no idea why your Italian postcode doesn't work. I do wonder whether their online system is set up to expect a UK format postcode since PCS are primarily a UK company? Your Italian postcode may not fit the UK format and perhaps that's why it's being rejected?

I had my laptop shipped to my sister in the UK and a friend brought it out with him when he was coming over.

Hi Ale,

sorry for being late but I got really stressed out by the waiting time and I decided to let go for a while, as I found that mail bombing is not worth...

From my point of view, DPD is a messy courier and they do not seem to be able to manage with Italian addresses: for the second time they did not include the street number in my shipping address and for this time I know that it is not PC Specialist to blame but their choice of working with DPD.

There is little you can do as you have already phoned to the UK (another fast way to contact PC Specialist is the live chat), if you know someone who lives near you in an area with a different post code you can try to make the parcel to be delivered there, maybe the shipping system will like other post codes better than yours.....

As far as I know, post codes near Torino are ok, but as you read my issue is different and I have nothing more to tell you.

Hope that your issue will be solved soon, I can understand the frustration.

Hi Lorenzo,
Thank you for your reply. I have already tried different postcodes, I tried also Turin ones (just to give a try) but the results are always the same (as in the picture, with Novara postcode).

Now I changed the address so that the post code is within the "address lines" form field.
Sorry for the bad image quality but I am from my phone as my current laptop has completely stopped to work.

I hope that too that your problem will be addressed soon.

Update: I received my laptop yesterday.
It seems that the address has to be filled as in the image attached in the previous post (if you are not living in the UK don't put your post code in the "Post code" field).
Thank you all for your answers!
