I received an email yesterday stating this -

Your order has now been built and is awaiting testing and configuration.

Once we have finished the testing and configuration process your computer will enter quality control, where further testing will take place. Please regularly login to your account at http://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/ to keep track of your order. On your online order tracking facility you many also find building notes on your order. These building notes will inform you of the exact status of your order and they are updated as soon as there is a change to your order.


HOWEVER, when I check the progress in my account it says it is still 'In Building' and has been since yesterday morning??

Has anyone else had this and what is the likely timescale until delivery, I'm already on Day 8 so 9-11 days is looking like Sales Mumbo Jumbo at the moment!!

This generally means one of 3 things as far as I can tell
1. It may just be in a queue for testing so hasn't started the testing stage yet
2. They are waiting for something to be in stock (it may mention this on your account page)
3. Or possibly it's just the system hasn't updated yet to say it's in testing.

Has anyone else had this and what is the likely timescale until delivery, I'm already on Day 8 so 9-11 days is looking like Sales Mumbo Jumbo at the moment!!

Generally once it goes into build it really is only a couple of days til you get it, also the 9-11 days is just an estimate (it was never a guaranteed timeframe), sounds like your dispatch will be pretty close to that though.

There are no notes attacthed to it but it does say build date was yesterday and says who built it so I'm guessing it is probably in a queue for testing as you say.

It doesn't help that I am the most impatient person in the world when I order stuff so not really PCS fault, everything else about the service has been good so far.

Fingers crossed I get it before the weekend!

I wonder if I am being a little too patient? Placed the oder for my Laptop 19th October. Been in pre-production - today is the 18th Working Day, :-(

I see PCS have an ad saying place order by the 9th Dec to get your computer by christmas. Bold claim indeed, given my experience!

I'd give them a call if I were you, unless you've talked to them pretty recently about it, it may be a waiting for stock problem, but I'm guessing at this point.

Thanks. I e-mailed them week - 10 days ago. yes, they said they hadn't got any Clevo Chassis. The order was for a 15.6" screen. Must be really busy if they've run out of these?

Got the exact same message. Got an e-mail saying it was in the testing and config phases but when I logged on it said it has just enteted the build phase. Day 8. Guess I can't complain looking at the wait some people have had !

The progress shown in your account isn't always up to date,so I would take the e-mail as being the correct information.
