Proteus 3 vs Defiance 2

Greetings,

I'm after a 17.3" laptop, pretty much set on an i7 6700HQ + 970m

My options seem to be Proteus 3 or Defiance 2.

With the above components the Proteus is about £180 cheaper, the Defiance has an IPS panel but any other reason why its so much more expensive.

Cant seem to find review on the Proteus?

The Defiance has a gsync screen, so much higher quality and it's 75hz, although that needs to be confirmed with PCS. Really the additional cost is for gsync.

The Defiance II does not have g-sync, it's only the 3rd series that come with it. I can only speculate here but the difference in price comes from the different chassis and the IPS panel(which in my opinion is awesome). The Proteus is about 0.5kg heavier and as you can see it does not look as premium as the Defiance. There are a few other things like the number of HDD slots, the wifi cards available but in the end it's up to you if willing to spend extra for the little things.
