Does anyone know the fix to this???? i seriously do not want to buy another PS3 since my warranty has run out

No idea, when I got this, I called sony and told them what was wrong and they sent a new ps3 2 days later and switched them over, too bad that warranty ran out
I'd still call sony before doing anything else, even though the warranty is up, they might agree to swapping for a refurb. they swapped mine when it was out of warranty, though it stopped working due to another problem. not only did they trade in for a refurb, they also gave me a 3 month extended warranty on it.

Thank you, but im going to first try reformat my PS3 HDD using a laptop as it refuses to do it on my PS3 hopefully it will if not then going to have to call sony, but thank you anyway
