I've been reading contradicting articles all over the internet about what wattage PSU you need. Some people are putting 750w+ in their systems, some much less. I've read some articles about not needing as much as people think and I've just done a calculation for my hardware and it came out at only 252w. I'm pushing my budget at £466 and I could do with not adding any extra for a PSU. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

I doubt I'll be adding anything to be honest. Everywhere I ask though, they seem to say something different. I might stick a 450w in their just to be on the safe side. It doesn't cost too much more and it's better paying out a little more now than a lot more in the future when the 350w conks out I guess. Cheers for your help though.

No upgrade needed at all, your PSU wont 'conk out' because it cant supply enough power to that system. It might just conk out because it conks out, having a 450w wont mak it it any more reliable if you don;t plan to add in any more components. The only way to get a slightly more reliable PSU is to buy a branded one. Which you simply dont need to.

the 350 will be way more than enough, if the configurator says 252 then all you will need at max is 210w but the 20% allowance is a good idea and should be followed
