Query on laptop cooling

I'm just wondering about cooling. Desktop pcs with similar processing seem to have multiple fans, radiators etc, so is the cooling system in a laptop really up the job?

(btw, I'm asking here because I'd like to follow a similar route for a machine for After Effects and editing work)
Thanks, Tim

Basically, yes, laptops are designed to function with their components under load. They can get toasty compared to an equivalent load on a desktop but its not inherently bad.

Its pro's and con's though, you may not get quite the same performance/£ with a laptop vs a desktop but as part of the laptop you'll get the portability.

if your laptop is going very hot even with all mods done to config, you may put it on a cooling pad, you'll gain some degrees
