RAM - quad channel ram?

Is it worth getting 4 sticks of DDR4 ram to achieve quad-channel speeds? Or is this only supported on certain motherboards? The most common option is going to be 8GB or 16GB ram these days, but that's unlikely to be on 4 sticks. Are people who order, say, 32GB of RAM going to achieve faster speeds because they're using all four slots, or doesn't it make any difference?

Most motherboards support dual channel. There is actually a very little difference in performance when going from single to dual channel or dual channel to quad channel, only about 5% faster RAM (or around that), so it's not going to make a real difference

I know but there are some videos on youtube that show some good increases when using dual channel as opposed to single

Dual channel used to be much more effective when RAM speeds were lower, the higher the RAM speed the less of an impact it has (I think, since it was a fair few months ago I looked at this)
