RAM speeds & product keys

I have two questions for you guys.
The first is around RAM speeds and if they make a real world difference. I'm ordering in a couple of weeks and have been playing with some build specs, I think I have a fairly solid idea of the system I'm after but am wondering about the relative virtues of the Hyper X DDR4 2666MHz and the Corsair Vengeance DDR4 3000MHz RAM sets. Does the 334MHz difference between the two really make a difference? If so, in what way? If there's no performance based reason to go for the faster set, are there any other considerations to take into account? Reliability? Heat? Those kinds of things.

The second question is regarding the bundled product keys with particular components. The last potential setup I put together would include 2 keys for The Division (1 from a Samsung SSD and one from a 9 series Geforce GPU). Would both be included? Or is there some kind of limit imposed by PCS on keys for the same product? If the answer is that I would get two keys; can I assume that I would be free to give 1 to a friend (having used the other myself of course)?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Firstly RAM, depends what the system is for? If for gaming anything above 1600mhz isn't utilised so you won't see any benefits.

If for encoding media, data crunching or photo manipulation then yes it makes a big difference.

Can't answer the second question I'm afraid.

Thanks Spyder, you've given me food for thought on the RAM. It is primarily a gaming system I'm looking at, possibly some database work as I expand my skills workwise in my own time.

You'd appreciate the extra speed for database work if they're larger than average.
