RAM Temperatures

I've fitted a Corsair Commander Pro and additional intake fans today so I've been doing some temp logging, both from the components and the little temperate probe things.
All is fine apart from the RAM; At idle CPU and GPU sit at about 28°c and 32°c respectively, but the RAM closer to 40°c.

Is this normal? Is there a way I can cool it - I note the MoBo PSU cable blocks some of the air from the intake fans, I could move this cable to point downwards to free up some surface area - how much would this help?

I'm no expert but that's an awful lot of fans you have there. Ideally you want a linear airflow through the case to maximise your cooling. What you don't want is a chaotic airflow inside the case (as in butterflies flapping their wings) because that can lead to wild variations in local airflow and cooling. I'd worry that all those fans are not creating the linear airflow you need...?

My thinking was getting airflow to the GPU. I've only added the bottom two, to feed cool air directly to the GPU. I did however note on the Corsair site they show this case with the bottom fans as exhaust fans with the front 3 only as intake.
Not sure what I could use to test the airflow though.

You could try to change the fans around (move a block of fans at a time and do it methodically). So for example, swap the bottom fans to exhaust, see if it improves temps overall before trying to swap around some of the other fans.

How are they configured currently? Top/Front fans as intake and bottom/rear fan as exhaust?

I'm not certain your temps are a concern however, are you noticing an issue in terms of performance? Does the RAM heat up significantly more than the rest of the machine under load? Also what are you using to measure temps?

Front and bottom are intake, top (cpu water cooler) and rear exhaust.
Good shout, I'll try swapping the bottoms. Overall temps have come down but the RAM is always a notch higher than I'd like. I'm going to move the cables to the lower slot in the case to free up some space too.
