and i set up bios to restore and restart few times, and ttry to reinstall Fresh windows copy ,using a flash drive and on the menu it didn't appears SSD Drive, after few restart it suddenly appears the SSD Drive so,what i did ,fully formated the SSD Drive and install fresh copy, and shut down..

Well I'm sure it could be a few things and I'll let more experienced people answer, but one thing I will say if there's anything stored on the SSD that you need to keep then back it up somewhere else if you manage to get it working again (this advice comes from someone who's just had an SSD die on them ... Rakk is still somewhat annoyed lol) - though if you've recently just done a fresh install you may not have too much that isn't stored elsewhere.

That looks like a serious SSD error to me. The clues are the fact that the SSD doesn't show up in the list of boot devices in the BIOS and neither does it show up in the first 'Where do you want to install Windows' dialog.

Your second ''Where do you want to install Windows' dialog does show the drive however so when did you see this? Is this when you managed to reinstall Windows?

If you're saying that the SSD drive sometimes shows up and sometimes doesn't I'd be tempted to remove it and reinsert it, it's an M.2 drive so you'll have to remove a locking screw first. Just make sure there is no dirt or the like on the connectors.

If the drive shows up in the 'Where do you want to install Windows' dialog afterwards delete ALL partitions on the SSD (you will loose all user data however) and then allocate one partition the size of the whole SSD. Windows will automatically recreate the five GPT partitions you need for UEFI boot. You install Windows into the largest of these partitions (normally partition 3).

If that doesn't help then you probably have a dead or dying SSD drive I'm afraid. Since you only bought it last December it will be under warranty so you should then call PCS.

Hi,

yes..first when i got the errors,i was really scared,so after few errorss ocured,i thought it might be Battery issue, and plugged it off,and used the power code, initially after i did that,it helps and boot from SSD Drive, but after shut it down, and switched it on in couple of hrs, error occurs in,but after few tries restarting,SSD Drive shows up,so what i did delete ALL partitions on the SSD allocate one partition the size of the whole SSD and install Windows into the largest partition, hence after i shut it down and switched it on in couple of hrs.same error.

so what ur suggentions.. pls.

I think you have a faulty SSD. I would suggest you phone PCS (don't email them, phone them). Your laptop may have to be sent back however.....

Nice work, that's a really good test!

In that case I would call PCS and arrange to have the laptop RMA'd. When you send it back include detailed documentation describing exactly how it fails, under what conditions it fails (ie. what you have to do to get it to fail) and a description of the fault-finding you have done (including trying a new HDD). The more detailed you can make your problem description to PCS the more likely it is that they'll be able to reproduce the fault and then diagnose it.

Yes,thanks..I have noticed that, after shutdown the laptop for around few hrs,and when i switched on the error occurs, and after few restart it will boot normal.that's really confusing

Yes it is, which is why it's essential that you document how it fails in as much detail as you can manage so that PCS can try to reproduce it on their workbench. They can't fix what they don't see...

Hi,

Today ,after few days ,back it'ss all ready to ship the Laptop to PCS.( Cuz,i am living in Sri Lanka),i switched on the lap,and same error : Reboot-and-select-proper-media-or-insert-bootable-device-and-press-a-key,
so,before i sennt it back,i unplugged the battery and plugged it again, and switch on the laptop, and it's boot from OS.

This is total confusing me,any suggestions

I think it needs to go back to PCS. You've already proved it's not the drive itself and there really isn't anything else you can reasonably do I don't think.

If you go into the bios, does it register your boot drive? If so, manually change the boot options to list that drive first. If not, you’ve got a failed drive or it needs reseating.

Edit, just read over the beginning of this thread, that’s gotta be more than bad luck! Have you monitored temperatures on the laptop whilst you’ve used it?

now, I've shut down the lap for a couple of days, and switched on same error, but I found every time, when I restart it again,it will boot.is this something wrong with bios or Cmos battery

I would definitely log it with PCS. CMOS wouldn't contribute to a drive not being recognised on a modern board i don't think.
