Recoil 16 96gb RAM support

In the configurator and specs, it says 64gb is maximum for the Recoil 16, but other laptops with the 14900HX support 96gb.

So if I put two 48gb modules, for sure it won't work?

It may work but wouldn’t be supported.

its not the CPU that supports memory quantity, it’s down the the motherboard.

It may also be locked out in the BIOS.

Although the barebones is the same amongst all SIs, the BIOS, screen panels and other things aren’t so just because another SI states theres may do it, doesn’t mean others will be the same

I need as much RAM as possible for Houdini simulations.

No, unless you damage it in the process. And if you needed to RMA it you’d have to refit the components PCS supplied.
