Replacement battery for Vyper 15.6"

So the battery for my laptop was always pretty bad, only held a couple of hours of charge when new and only after a few months it reduced to something like 35minutes on a full battery just watching youtube.

The spare parts for this model I got confirmation is just the same battery so I'm not too keen on purchasing one, is there somewhere else I can buy a better quality battery that would work with this laptop?

I've attached a couple of photos of the details for the power input in case there's some really knowledgeable people out there.

I know it's an old laptop but tbh after repasting it and getting it a new NVME, it still does the job I need it for.

When you say the battery life was only a couple of hours to begin with, were you gaming on battery?

Yeah, that's a shame. You'd done everything you could do.

Unfortunately these are TongFang chassis, and I think the one you've got was the first version they released (or an early model).

They were a little bit "beta" shall we say, they had amazing specs, but to achieve the better specs, they cut corners a little on the build quality.

Now, it's possible that you had a defective battery in the first instance, although I have a sneaking suspicion around 2 hours was all that chassis could manage, but hopefully someone else with this model may be able to confirm. I have a sneaking suspicion that @barlew had this model which he ended up returning for other reasons, but he may be able to verify if he was seeing the same battery life.

It's a tough one, because TongFang are still relatively new to the market and these were early models, not many aftermarket manufacturers made alternative battery packs as far as I'm aware but I could well be wrong.

If you look on the underside there should be a manufacturers label with a chassis model number, it will be something like GxxNP or something like that format IIRC.

If you post the chassis number, then we can do a search and see if we can find an extended battery anywhere.

I can't find anything for that model number, only the later GK series chassis.

If you don't have any luck finding an aftermarket, you can always ask PCS for a legitimate one if they have stocks remaining.

Sorry for the late response life is hectic right now.

@spyderyour half right, i had the 17inch version which if memory serves had a bigger battery. I don't think I got much more than 2 hours out of it though.
