RIP Burt Bacharach

Truly a monumental figure, some of the greatest songs of all time.

And he just played on and on, it was a true passion for him.

I was introduced to him via the Austin Powers movies where he had a few cameos, same introduction to Elvis Costello.

And Elvis has just announced his collaborative works with Burt on a really lovely box set for anyone interested.

Good lord! I’ve only just seen this! I know he was 94 but I’m still a bit shocked.

A phenomenal and prolific composer, everything that followed owes a little debt to the man.
