Just seen that the Screaming Trees frontman has passed away aged 57. That’s no age! Whilst I can’t say I was personally a huge fan of his work, he had an incredibly distinctive voice and influenced a lot of modern rock.
He also gained a lot of kudos in my book by punching Liam Gallagher in his big Manc head. The Oasis singer thought it’d be a good idea to rename to Screaming Trees as Barking Branches… whilst they were on tour… together… to his face… 🙄
