According to one of your previous threads you have
Kingston Hyper-X Genesis Dual-DDR3 1600MHz X.M.P (2 x 4GB KIT)
If so, I think it's still available, best give PCS a call.

Checked my computer tonight to find out exactly what memory is installed and found i have:

Samsung 10600u-9-11-b1

I also found my invoice (PDF) which states i should have had Kinston fitted:

8GB KINGSTON HYPER-X GENESIS DUAL-DDR3 1600MHz, X.M.P (2 x
4GB KIT)

After paying for Kingston and finding Samsung fitted has'nt left me in the best of mood's. Look's like i'll be making a phone call tomorrow.

have you checked the inside

it should be pretty simple, the kingstons will have a blue cover and the samsungs wont have any cover and will just be green with black modules

the pictures are on the site to make sure

oh then you have been given the wrong ones, you didnt need to take it out you could have seen just by opening the side, its a pretty easy mistake and im sure they'll sort it for you, heck they may send you another set and not bother asking for the others back seeing as RAM is pretty cheap, then if you overclock the samsungs or underclock the kingstons, you could have 16gb, i recommend underclocking as there is no benefit to overclocking the RAM and will ruin the lifetime warranty, besides the kingston will usually work at 1333mhz normally, mine was originally but then i changed it

When i got my system, I thought that Kingston was installed so used X.M.P. to take the memory up to 1600. I looked on the net and managed to find a couple of post's which stated that overclocking to 1600 without lowering the voltage can damage the CPU.
Now i'm really stressed, Not only was the wrong memory fitted, But what little information i was able to find, Suggest's CPU damage could occur. I've now dropped the speed to 1333.
Can anyone give me more info on this?
