I wonder if there is a way to put down the display's brightness even more then what the special keys allows me to.
Even if I put brightness all the way down, when I am in bed with lights out it feels a bit to bright .
A popular solution that I use is f.lux which instead of just changing the brightness actually just lowers the amount of blue light. It can be synced up with sunset/sunrise for your area and then changes automatically and gradually at sunset and sunrise to be warmer at night. Used it for at least 6 months now and helped me sleep better afterwards and reduces the headaches I get sometimes from using a bright screen too much. Even has a dark room mode setting which pretty much gets rid of all white completely making everything a shade between red and black, it can work ok if you are browsing the web but looks awful on video, it depends on how little light you want and how much it affects you.
