I Have Chosen A Setup I Like With The Help Of Some Friendly People On These Forums But I Have Heard Some Really Contrasting Reviews Of This Site And I Am Unsure As Wether I Should Buy From Here Or Not I Have Heard Of People Having Their Pc's DOA And Of People With Broken/Shoddy Parts After A Few Days Of Use And A Lot Of People With HDD/Windows Installation Errors.
On The Other Hand Iv Read Reviews Saying That Pcs Are Great And That The Pc That Was Purchased Is Excellent :S

So The Bottom Line, Can I Trust Pcs To Build Me A Good Quality Machine That Isnt Going To Break In A Week Or Two?

Well, I first bought a PC from PCS about 4-5 years ago, it worked straight out of the box, andI had no problems with it is at all, bought a replacement from them a year ago and this machine is still going strong despite DHL putting a nice hole in the top of the packaging when they delivered it :)
So I'd happily suggest using them (and no, being a moderator does not mean I work for them at all - it mostly means I spend far too much time trawling the forums).

On forums, you will generally hear about any bad stuff going on, cos problems always end up online, thsi is just how people work, the vast majority of people will never even see forums or surveys cos it works well and they cant be bothered to spend time filling in some survey or writing on some forums 'yes its good'.

Yes, some PCs do arrive to their destinations bashed up, but this is inevitable since they have to be transported (sometimes quite a long way), no delivery company delivers everything in perfect condition, ever ...., and so some do have to be returned straight away, but as I said, that's what happened when you buy online and not from your local shop, and this actually happens to a very small amount of them.

There are never any guarantees about electrical things not breaking in the first few weeks of usage , in fact that the mostly likely time (outside the 3 year warranty time that no-one will ever give you) bits will fail, this happens with all electronics, but if PCS delivered loads any of the issues mentioned above, they wouldn't still be in business after however many years.

So I'd say yes, trust them to do a good job for you.

Subjective as the question is...Yes :)

Not a lot more to say than that really.

(Well, apart from maybe suggesting not using Caps At The Start Of Every Word...just odd that :D )

You can certainly trust them to build you A good Quality Machine,
in my opinion they are the best around at what they do,in all departments,
price,quality & customer service.
but whether something "breaks" or not in a week or two is in the lap of the gods,
hence, get the best warranty you can afford..

you know what, one of my teachers told me to capitalise every word once

i said to her ''who cares? no examiner wants you to do that, it's not the proper way of writing''.

her response? ''i care''.

what a *****, **** that woman!!

if your writing is a result of the same thing tell them where to stick it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Like i said in that reply to your message, things can break at any time, no fault of the manufacturer, unless they decided to smash it up before assembling it (Not that PCS would do that of course!). I did have doubts when i first came across PCS as i'd never bought a Custom pc before, and i'd never heard of PCS before, but people on the Forums are really nice and helped reassure me :)

Quality is top notch, Customer Service is top notch, the whole company seems to be one of the best out there. Also, check this page out: http://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/forum...uter-Shopper-2011-Awards-Best-PC-Manufacturer

They didn't win that for no reason! :)

Google 'PC Specialist UK reviews'. That should set your mind at rest as it did mine before placing my first order last week. Their reputation is second to none. Forums tend to give a distorted view as most people who are happy with their purchase don't usually post, it is the ones who have had problems who do. The chances of your PC being DOA are probably low, but if it does, it is easily sorted out. Frustrating to have a few days delay, but not a big deal. The alternative is to walk into PC World or similar, pay your money and walk out with an inferior but more expensive machine.

In terms of reviews and general 'rep' PCS are very good. I have ordered from them and am over the moon at how good my PC is and the cost I got it for. I have a friend who ordered from PCS a year ago and he recommends them highly as well.

First of all, I don't believe that a teacher would tell you to capitalise every word. Maybe she meant for you to put a capital letter at the start of every sentence and to use a capital 'I' once in a while.

Secondly, why are you so aggressive in almost every post you make? Your standard reply seems to be to complain, swear or threaten to "break a neck" (check your previous posts before you deny this).

Can't you just use this forum for what it is meant for, which is a place where people can ask advice and discuss things in a friendly and relaxed manner.

back to original post, the thing you will find that people are more likely to post something bad because lets face it if everything is fine, people cant be bothered to post positive reviews but the fact PCS was recently awarded "Best Pc Manufacturer" from computer shopper shows, you shouldnt have much to worry about.

I got my pc in 2007 and it's still ticking over nicely. It started out of box with no hitches at all. The only thing that hacked me off was that the hard drive, fortunately the second drive, failed over the 2 year guarantee period. I've got an old lady that I bought in 2000 (for lots of bucks from Dan) that still runs nicely and still no sign of the hard drive failing.
