PCS ENIGMA 6003B BLACK CASE is ideal for where I can put it. The advice I got was that it would be poor for upgrades and the cooling isn't that great. I really appreciate the advice, but I was wondering if anyone had experience using this case could add anything.

It's unlikely anyone will have made as powerful a system and put it in such a cheap and restrictive case. And even if they did and got away with it, it doesn't necessarily mean their usage would be the same as yours, and it doesn't negate the problems of cooling and lack of space.

If you need a smallish case, check the Corsair 275R or NZXT S340 as these are relatively compact for ATX cases.

Engima: 415 x 192 x 418 (Approx H x W x D)
Game Max Falcon: 505 x 202 x 473mm (Approx H x W x D) which I think I suggested in your other thread, not knowing space was an issue

275R: 436.5mm x 211mm x 446mm (Approx H x W x D)
S340: 445mm x 200mm x 432mm (Approx H x W x D)

Also, what kind of space are you expecting to stuff the PC into?

I ideally need it in the space provided in my computer desk, however it isn't a massive space. Once I remove a shelf height isn't a massive problem, the depth and width are restrictive. My desk shares an area with all my guitar stuff including amp and mixer so I'm juggling space.

After re measuring it comes in at H 490 W 210 D 470.

S340 sounds like a winner. Thanks again

You need to plan for how you're going to remove the heat from the inside of the desk cupboard. It's all well and good getting the heat out of the PC box but you also have to get it out of the cupboard. My PC is in a desk cupboard and I have a series of holes cut in the door where the big input fan is and also in the rear where the output fan is so that there is an airflow through the cupboard and the PC.

My measurements are max size of case, I have left room around it.

The space does have an opening at the back at one side ie. The inside side panel is only 3 quarters leaving quite a large gap.

You know what, forget the space issue, i'm gonna make it fit outside the desk.......one way or another, no worries about cooling and stuff then.

Thanks for your help, gonna go for the Game Max Falcon case as you first suggested. Is an extra rear fan needed? For only 6 quid is seems worth it.

Due to holiday will probably ordering in a week or so.

Cheers

The S340 case is actually a pretty good case so you could stick with that regardless, though if you want the RGB fans of the Falcon then go ahead. The extra case fan isn't needed at all, though if you want to buy them go ahead. If buying one you might as well buy 2 for £9.

Consider the 550W PSU as it could open up more GPU upgrade options in the future.

Already did put it up the 550w, it was literally a few quid difference, and as you say it gives options in the future.

Thanks for all your help, and sorry for being a pain the arse.

Will close thread as solved. Can't see the option for 'solved' so I'll just say it is.

There isn't an option for solved, and threads are usually left open, but very glad to hear it's been helpful :)
