Spec up some more configurations and regret the decision you made

Seriously though, I'm 7 days into my order and it is still in pre-prod. I'm spending the time sorting out some of the items I'll need to load up as well as buying a few games for the new machine. I'm also looking up details on best practice config for the bits I have and reading up on over clocking.

Hopefully won't have to wait *too* much longer for the rig -- good luck with your order!

Cheers

I cant really change to much about the spec and since I configured it again and again atleast once every two days for 2 months I'm good on the front :p

Found a link for overclocking the Gpu's now I need a few more links for bits here and there

I would advise against overclocking the GPU,or anything else on a laptop, apart from warranty issues it could seriously damage components due to cooling limitations.

Yea I would agree with Vanthus. If you have spent good money on your build, there is no need at all to overclock, especially on a laptop. What would you be trying to achieve? Have you already decided that the components you've bought aren't up to the job you need them for?

As for passing the time, I spent a lot of time on the forums, searching the steam store and finding other game download sites (the PC Game Deals thread on this forum is helpful!). I got a few games together for when it arrived, made sure I'd got everything ready to be plugged in and then I waited... and waited... And passed time by mindlessly trying to promote Preston North End on Fifa every night. And spent my days at work sat on the forums... It was a long time. A very long time.

Annyone that has a vortex III elite and a cooling pad that could give some advice on... cooling pads :p

I'm looking for a pad that I can use on a table but also have on my lap. :)
