Messing around with my HDD and when I restarted my computer it says BootMGR is missing?

Looks like I have to re-install windows right?

I think you should be able to 'repair' your windows installation as opposed to having to re-install everything

You need to boot from the Windows disc

If you boot from the windows disc you'll get the option to repair or re-install windows. Repairing windows should sort it out.

Probably try to repair first, think I've got some files on there that aren't backed up, if I can't get on looks like its a clean install, thanks for the help

I had that message once. The trick above fixed it for me

thanks for the help, fix worked, ended up with a clean install and had to reinstall some drivers but everything seems alright now, fingers crossed.

luckily I managed to get in to the drive before the clean install and backup most of my uni work, I think I got a bit lucky with this one haha

least ya got it sorted

next time make two saves on separate drives of all ya work

they tell us at uni to save on the naf uni network...as our "home pc's" aint reliable...I beg to differ.
