Sound problem

Okay so I opened my case up yesterday to add in a couple of fans, and since then when I put my headphones in it sounds like the sound on the left headphone is slightly lower. I've tried it with a different set of headphones and it does the same thing.
I do have a sound card and I've checked the settings and both right and left are equal.
I'm just thinking could I have knocked the sound card when I opened the case yesterday? I'm not sure what else it could be.
Either the left ear is lower or right is louder.

I have speakers connected to the soundcard, then my headphones connected to the speakers circle hub.

Just out of curiosity, is the left speaker louder than the right speaker when not listening through the headphones as well.
If so you may have just knocked the soundcard as you think, so you may want to try reseating it.
If not, then the jack for teh headphones in the speakers may have dust/muck in it or be a bit iffy :)

Kind of hard to notice, but I don't think so. Even with the headphones it's a very slightly lower. I'm thinking it could even be my ears lol

Ear wax? I had the same issue a few days ago, olive oil and lots of patience but initially I though I was going deaf.

Also I have another question; when taking the case off I need to unplug the 2 fans, I tried.. and I applied a fair bit of force and they won't budge? I'm scared of breaking or bending the pins, is there a way of removing them?

Usually the connector that you push the fan cable into has a little piece of plastic with a small notch on it to hold the fan in place. You may just need to pull this up when you're pulling the fan cable :)

Take this 4 pin for example, the part of plastic that goes inbetween the two notches on the fan conector shown:
