sound volume is at max and aint quite

hey guys got this new pc today and got headphones in and on me last pc the volume was up loud and it was loud now with this new one it is quite.
got any ideas

what headphones are they? did you have a sound card with a headphone amp in your last pc?

no sound card in the old pc. there relatively cheap headphones from maplins the £10 £15 ones and worked fine on other pc and were much louder and did try to download drivers for the onboard card but were on update

You've probably tried this, but when the headphone are plugged in click on the speaker icon (bottom right next to the time/date) go to mixer, under device click where it says speakers and change that to headphones and check that volume setting, it might be all the way down.
