Hi, I need a new PC, but having already bought a laptop from pcspeccialist (which I'm very pleased with) I have to keep the costs down, under £700 if at all possible. It needs to be an all round machine. I'll want to play some games, but nothing more taxing than skyrim. I'll be doing a bit of video editing too. Here are the specs.

I'm not sure about the graphics card. It had to be a 1-slot card because I need a wireless card and also a firewire card, and slots appear to be limited with this spec. Maybe a different case would solve that?
I have a couple of other questions: 1) Will my old monitor (with a 15-pin connector) be compatible? 2) Is it possible to have XP rather than Win 7? I know XP is only going to be supported for two more years, I just don't like Windows 7. 3) Is there a combination of hardward that is better at giving backwards compatibility with older programs than others? That would suit my requirements more than the latest technology.
