Spec ..so far

Hi,
I am specing a new build for myself and would like any any feedback ie change this or that. Spec so far is Intel i9 7960x CPU, Asus Prime x299 Deluxe board, Corsair HX 1000w PSU, Intel DC P3600 2tb Main drive,
128 Gb Corsair Dominator 3200 Ram, Not sure as yet if I will go with another DC P3600 for storage or a Samsung 960 Pro m.2 2Tb. Also will have WD Gold 6Tb HDD.

Gpu is a bit of a dilemma, as the finished machine will be used mainly for 3d Cad / Video editing but I would also like to do some gaming so not sure whether to go with 2 1080 Ti's or 2 Quadro P2000's.

I hasten to add that I won't be building the machine that is the preserve of another.
Any comments as regards improvements ect are welcomed.

As the forums belong to PC Specialist,who build and sell custom PCs and laptops, it's not possible for users to advise on competitors' builds or self build projects. You could try an open forum like Tom's Hardware, or if you post your budget and intended use etc here people can suggest a custom PCS spec for you to consider alongside any other options you might be considering.

The primary purpose of the machine is 3d Cad / Video editing. gaming is the secondary purpose. My budget is up to £8000 so would welcome any suggestions. from PC Specialist. will also post the above specs on Tom's Hardware.

That kind of budget gives you quite a bit of freedom What software do you use for video editing?

The software is Avid Media composer Ultimate. and the 3D CAD is Siemens NX
