Specification, nearly there I think!

With input from and thanks to, a few forum members I think I have adjusted my original spec to the one below.
I would appreciate any further comments and am particularly wondering if there would be any advantage(s) to:

1 Changing the mother board to the P8Z68
2 Changing the video Card to the 470.
3 Using the 2600S

My usage is pretty run of the mill, so no gaming, but I do edit the occasional video using Corel Video Studio X2 (which I will upgrade once they have a version that uses CUDA) and watch TV using BBC IPlayer and similar "catch-up" sites as well as the occasional live stream of football.

Dear DED
I note you are a rising star, lets hope you do not go Super-Nova.
"Thanks" for your input, not sure it enhances my knowledge too much, except how not to spell English.
I assume referring me to the posts below was, a not very well veiled hint that you think me too lazy to read them before asking questions. Not that I imagine you are remotely interested but I have been avidly reading the forum since I discovered PCS by chance a week or so ago.Unfortunately I didn't really find anything that explained the benefits, in layman's terms that I might get from the alternative motherboard or the S version of the 2600.
If you take the numbers in DED's age shown in his/her profile and reverse them you get a number approaching my age so I would still appreciate any "helpful" jargon free input that other forum members might care to offer.

That's what I meant :)

And I apologise sherman if you took that wrong. I would assume anyone is lazy in reading threads, unless they ask what a PC is. My "posts below" comment was intended to direct you to the helpful comment people like Teaz would make below my post that would actually help! Unfortunately, this lot have been terribly lazy today and as such it rather fell flat!

There really is nothing wrong with your spec, and I should have stated that before making the other comment, and for that I apologise.

PS: Is there an easy way of transferring programs from my current PC which runs XP to my new PC which will have Windows 7?

You can do the Windows Easy Transfer tool. but i wouldnt really do that. Its always best to start fresh and clean so no or none of the clutter from the old system transfers over. Since you're using XP, i think its best to do a fresh start so transfering or moving docs or files along with any media to an external drive seems a good way to start. Its quite a time consuming task but worthit in my view :)
