Spontaneous Black Screen

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone can help with my problem.

Randomly when I am on my computer, the monitors will blackout but the fans are still spinning in the case.

I have checked all the cables and they are all connected
I have updated all drivers

The only way I can get the screen back is to give it a hard reset and turn it back on but it will black out again eventually within the hour.

I only had this system about 2 or 3 months now.

Specs are below

Any Help leading to its fix would be great.

Thank You

When the monitors go black, do they show as 'no display' and turn off? Or are they still on just displaying black?

Have you tried disconnecting the monitor and reconnecting it? Do you get the windows sound/notification that a device has been connected/disconnected when you do that?

I assume both monitors are connected directly to the 3080?

Has it always happened or is it only recently?

Both monitors go black then a few seconds later go no display and go into power saving mode.

Disconnecting and reconnecting just puts it back in power saving mode. Though if i give it a hard reset, the monitors turn back

Both connected to the 3080.

Only started happening about a week but progressively getting worse.

I would check thermals, I wouldn't be comfortable with that cooler on that CPU, the PSU is also quite low for the specs.

Also, you need to fully uninstall bullguard.

When does this happen? Is it during gaming or when the pc sleeps and doesn't recover?

At first i thought maybe thermals as during the witcher temps would rise up 75 degrees but it can happen when it is idle at 30 degrees.

It seems to happen any time and just go black and not recover and monitor automatically goes into power saving mode. Recently it happened when i was browsing

I will uninstall bullguard, i never realised i had it

It is too soon to tell but the black screen has not happened today and I have been on for over 12 hours now, I want to believe that the fix was some out of date drivers in the Armoury Crate as I found them last night and updated them before I finished the night.

Since then I have not had one spontaneous black out.
