Hi,
I'm hoping someone knows about something Teaz told me about, apparently you can use an SSD to imporove your Hdd's speed.
The question I have is, do you have to commit the entire SSD to the SRT process or can you partition the SSD to only use a part of it for the SRT purposes?
I'm sure that out of all the planet-sized intelligences on this forum someone must know :smartass:

Thanks for your time,
(And i wasnt being sarcastic, im genuinely amazed by the wealth of knowledge on this forum:winkiss:)

I believe for intel's Smart Response technology, you will need the motherboard that Gorman mentioned, also a 60gb or less SSD, it works kinda as a caching drive, for all your programs that you use frequently. It will not be as fast as using a 120gb SSD for the OS and some programs, however, using the SSD as a caching drive does spped up loading times etc, and will take alot less strain than using a SSD for the OS. It is also cheaper than getting a 120GB SSD. I have ordered a setup using SRT, and will be doing a little review of my own that i will post, however not for a few weeks yet.

Have a google of "intels smart response technology reviews" It should show quite alot of reviews.

Hope this helps Tom
