Ask for help, post a thread and we can try a few things.Gutted
92 day wait and the thing doesn't work.
90 minutes on phone to tech support and he couldn't figure out what was wrong with it.
Going to try a few things over the weekend, but looks like it's going back

So, whenever I try to run a game, it crashes and shuts down. When i first posted I had only tried VR games(the reason for purchase) but over the weekend i tried flat games. Crashes and restarts on them all.Gutted

As @SpyderTracks suggested to you on Friday, why not post a thread in the tech support section and we’ll see if we can offer some assistance? So, whenever I try to run a game, it crashes and shuts down. Phoned back today and they recommended I return it and it will be fixed within several weeks.
not happy
no offence, but this isnt exactly the busiest forum. I have tried looking for help on reddit and some other places where i am a regular poster and nobody can come up with anything. As @SpyderTracks suggested to you on Friday, why not post a thread in the tech support section and we’ll see if we can offer some assistance?
No offence taken... I beg to differ on your ‘not the busiest forum’ comment though. The fact that two different people have tried to offer you assistance quite quickly after you’ve posted (within about five minutes on the previous occasion, fifty minutes this time) tells a different story.no offence, but this isnt exactly the busiest forum. I phoned PCS for a second time today and the most recent advice is to reseat my RAM, but this would void my warranty!!!!
i was on the verge of just returning it and getting a refund, but i have now decided to just bite the bullet and wait for "several weeks"
I'm not talking rubbish. the woman on my most recent phone call suggested reinstalling windows and reseating RAM, but when i queried if i might then be blamed for any damage, she confirmed that it could void my warranty. No offence taken... Removing and reseating your RAM also would not void your warranty at all, PC Specialist operate an open case policy.
If you don’t want help, that’s fine... but don’t talk rubbish.
This is what I called out as rubbish. Yes, your warranty could be voided if you damaged the components, but you’re doing it at the request of the tech support team. If you’re willing to utilise the forum, you will be given assistance throughout each step involved and advised on the best way to do so. Your statement infers that the warranty would be automatically void should you attempt reseating the RAM, which is patently untrue.I phoned PCS for a second time today and the most recent advice is to reseat my RAM, but this would void my warranty!!!!
yes, i updated windows and drivers myself and the tech support guy did it twice on fridayDid you order with an OS? Have you done all the Windows updates and GPU driver when you got it?
If you can walk through what youve done with the PC since it was delivered that will help, and your spec list also.
We could easily analyse it, we have a lot more time than the tech support number can offer and can investigate crash reports etc to find out the faulting driver if it's that or the component if it's hardware related.yes, i updated windows and drivers myself and the tech support guy did it twice on friday
all i have done on it is install steam and gamepass, tried skyrim VR, propagation VR and flat Doom Eternal. All crash to restart within a minute
tech support have ran all sorts of stress tests on it, all of which pass with flying colours
Section 7.8 of the terms and conditions. Open case policy. You aren't risking anything.I have built my own PCs in the past, I'm confident enough to try it. I had until wednesday to return it, so i planned on spending my day off tomorrow, just checking nothing got loose in transit and reinstalling windows until i was warned about the possible warranty violation. RMA is now set in motion, they needed my passwords and confirmation that i had not tinkered about with it, so i am not going to take the risk
thanks anyway
if the offer still stands, maybe tomorrow? We could easily analyse it, we have a lot more time than the tech support number can offer and can investigate crash reports etc to find out the faulting driver if it's that or the component if it's hardware related.
It's up to you though.
I'm sure someone can take you through a clean install tomorrow, just post and ask for help.if the offer still stands, maybe tomorrow?
im just heading to work now, but of course i'll take any help offered if it gets me up and running. thanks
If you could please copy and paste your full system specifications from your main PC Specialist account onto this thread when you’re ready we’ll have a look and see what we can do 👍if the offer still stands, maybe tomorrow?
