The 3GB 580 option - Is that two 580s in SLI?

Also are 2nd and 3rd GPUs linked together, is this how you achieve SLI?

EDIT: I am thinking about 3d gaming with latest games, will I need 3GB GPU or is this still overkill for current games, would I just be future proofing the machine?

No it's not 2 in SLI, it's a single card.

And yes a 2nd GPU is linked to the 1st via a SLI bridge.

If you can afford it, then go for it, it'll last you for years to come :)
