Nice little upgrade. I got a new 870 EVO (500Gb) a few weeks ago for secondary/non AAA/oldie games storage so the 1Tb 980 Pro can handle the big titles with their crazy install sizes and load times these days. I haven't bought or used a HDD for 5 years now and won't be going back.

These are for the laptop, I do have both internal & external HDD's on the desktop, for stuff that doesn't need the speed

I got that (though I'll guess you do things of more use than just gaming) I should've mentioned that I've done the same with my last two laptops HDD/SSHD D: drives (both had m.2's as mains) Out with them and in with the trusty old 850 EVO that's still going strong after 4 years use when a HDD might've balked.

Must admit never considered HDD in laptop, the desktop has 2 of everything inside it
