I can't quite bear to watch a 27-minute video about phishing, but I do wonder if the increased jankiness and weirdness of Twitter/X had a significant role to play. Whereas historically you got something that looked and felt professional, these days you can't rely on that with the platform because it's just so terrible and everything is half-baked.

This, 100% this, twitter is an absolute cesspool now, Musk has enraged all reputable sponsors and advertisers to the point he’s now actively promoting scam adverts for crypto scams, drop ship scams, and extremely questionable “marketplaces” which everyone knows to avoid.

If you’re clicking on ANY sponsored tweet or even system notification, then you’re doing something wrong.

I gotI thought the FIRST rule of PC-club was NEVER click on ANY links in an email or text, and go directly to the website to check yourself.
I got another one from sky this morning(like heck it was) got shoved straight to junk
