What's your budget, and what monitor are you gaming on?

It's a dell 23 inch full hd LED monitor (not going to upgrade it just yet)

£1800 is my budget.

For 1080p 60hz a 1080 is pretty excessive. Even a 1070 is somewhat indulgent.


I'm not a fan of the Sharkoon as it only has 2 fan mounts and the front one is apparently somewhat obstructed. The Inwin GT1 or Game Max Falcon would be better options.

The UV 400 is a slow SSD, and not worth the modest savings vs an 850 Evo or a PM961 M.2 SSD.

For gaming the i7 7700k and an Intel platform would be better, especially as PCS also sell it with faster RAM which can be a big help in some titles. Alternatively if you're an AMD fan, an R5 1600x would offer the same performance (possibly a bit better due to its higher frequencies) as the R7 1700 in gaming. Many games don't even really leverage the 4 cores on the 7700k, let alone the multiple cores on the Ryzen CPUs.

The Hydro cooler doesn't seem necessary for gaming. The CM212x is more than sufficient.
