What are you using the PC for? What is your budget and how much did the above spec come too?

Please include the configurable link to the spec.

You definitely don't need Norton, I'd consider upping the warranty to Platinum given the likely cost of this PC. In my opinion you don't need the thermal paste change as the paste that comes with the iCue coolers is excellent. I'd argue going for a capellex but I personally don't have any evidence to support this suggestion (hopefully someone else with a bit more immediate knowledge will be here soon to offer some advice )

Hey there


I will be using my PC mainly for gaming in 4k like the Total War Series and AAA games as well as I don't use my console anymore for Battlefield or Fallout. But specifically I want to use this for gaming for the best experience possible. I will also use my computer for work as well but it won't be intense just Microsoft Office but a few screens and documents up no video editing. I want a PC that is futureproofed for a while and I have always had terrible pcs so always felt like treating myself as I have been a PC gamer since young but never had a decent PC at all. My budget is around £3750 and that's including a screen (Looking at Gigabyte M32U and LG UltraGear 27GP950). I am able to claim the VAT back so my real budget is probably nearer to £5k. I am mainly using this for gaming but it will be my work and business computer.

Thanks for your input its much appreciated. I have made the changes you suggested well most of them just reduced one of the storages but 1TB

If I wanted to bring the costs down a bit more, what would you recommend? I have made the changes you suggested but still coming in a little too high maybe I could play around with storage? Ideally want it below £4,250.

Easiest change is to switch to an AM4 build.
The 5800X3D is a fantastic gaming CPU. While the 13th gen CPUs will excel in tasks where cores matter, the 5800X will offer a similar level of gaming performance for a much lower price, especially when factoring in motherboard and RAM costs.
The build is substantially cheaper with these changes.
