OK so I have been thinking about a laptop for a while. I looked at the MacBook Pro but to get the spec I wanted was close to £1,600. I want to play LoTRO, SWToR, Rift, GW2 and BF3 mainly.

So it comes down to three spec below, if the 660m will play everything at 1920x1080 at medium quality then I am happy with that, it doesn't need to have a backlit keyboard etc. My only concern is the 1GB of VRAM with the 660m.

Thanks in advance!

I would go with option 2 myself, the first option with the 660m will play at medium settings but the 670m will last just a bit longer with newer games. If you can i would also suggest upgrading to a scorpio black so everything loads nice and fast which ever spec you choose.

Thanks, I did wonder about the 660m although it is a Kepler rather than Fermi. Also adding a 120GB SSD I already have which will act as the primary drive and also cache for the drive PCS will put in the machine.

Any thoughts on 15" vs 17" for gaming? I do have an i7 2600k gaming rig so this is purely for when I am out and about, I travel a lot.

17" would be good if your not too bothered about portability. I know i would go for a 17" if i were in the market for that kind of a setup, a bigger screen is better for gaming no doubt about it.
