Three issues with my PC

Evening everyone,

Firstly I've had the new PC from PCS since January and it runs like a beauty except for three issues I hope someone can help me with.

The first is when I boot the PC from cold I would say 1 in every 5 times the PC will display no signal on the display even though the PC has seemingly gone through BIOS and booted properly. At this point it will just sit there all day if you let it idling with no display. Hitting the front reset button solves the issue on a second boot.

The second issue is linked possibly. Same thing boot the PC from cold followed by no display but then rather than resetting the system like I have before to kick life into the display it will shut itself down without intervention and will stay shutdown as if the user had done so.

Lastly the shortest maybe easiest is the two front usb ports don't work. But all the cables have been plugged in since day one.

If anyone can shed light on this it would be great.

As a final pointer. The only drastic changes I have made across the system have been to usb settings to stop my mouse egg waking the system during sleep mode. The front ports didn't work before this either so that won't fix the last point I believe.

Thanks for your time everyone.

Have the front ports ever worked? Sometimes, the cable into the mobo is under a little tension and can come out easily when removing the internal foam packaging.

Bit delayed on my reply. Here's my spec.

In reply to the second question. The usb front ports have never worked. Well I lie slightly as when you plug a controller or usb storage device in the windows tray pops up with an error which I fail to remember. But you don't get any device action so I have to use the ports around the back which is a pain.

In which case, I would open up the case and double check the plug is seated correctly. It should be either the one on the right hand side of the motherboard under the power connectors in the case of USB3.0 or on the ones on the bottom towards the right in the case of USB2.0.

Thankyou. I'll give that a look.

I've been trying to diagnose my other issues and it seems it can't be the system as It boots fine every time. I just can't understand why the monitor displays no signal when all cables are plugged in and haven't been touched.

A good example is I was using my PC from around midday today everything was fine, shut it down left it for two hours or so. Came back just now at 4pm booted it up pc is running but the display has no signal this time. It just seems to be potluck if it works which is quite frustrating I'm beginning to wonder if it's monitor settings in Windows or locally with the display.

I'm using an asus rog pg348q.

Thanks
